Some combos in this games look just as crazy as certain finishers! And after my first hour or so messing around with characters trying to find my favorites, i knew i had to get into the series and know the back stories to all these amazing fighters.
The visuals were mind blowing and the combos were imaginative and unique to character.
After about 5 minutes in the practice mode i could tell i was gonna like this a lot more than dragon ball xenoverse. But even with dbz i was mostly a casual fan (havent seen them all, but liked the games and fighting) and this game looked wild with the finishers and combos. But it had a close enough style to dragon ball z and that was good enough for me. That being said if you are like me, I bought this game not knowing anything about this series, never seen the show or anything. If you already know naruto then ya, i gave this a 10 and i think if you're a fan of the series this game has enough depth to the fighting and cool collectibles to buy in the in game store to keep you entertained and having a good time. Online play is pretty much the same as it's always been, so I won't really go into that, few changes here and there but nothing huge. There's so much more to talk about, but what I've just mentioned is what I feel is most important. The new leader switching is great fun and adds new dynamics to gameplay and of course the number of new secret techniques and combination secret techniques are just incredible. The disgraceful counter system that was in storm revolution has also been adjusted, now in only knocks away your opponent instead of stunning them.
Which means no more having to choose awakening, drive or ultimate type before a match, you have access to a characters entire repertoire. Also with regards to combat this time around, types are now gone. This is great because for anime fans who have had enough of filler, this game is a must play. The trademark boss battles return in story mode, which brilliantly retells and captures the climax story of the fourth great ninja war. But when finally playing it on my own HD tv, I can honestly say that the graphical improvement is minimal, yet noticeable.
Admittedly I ought it looked exactly the same as the last gen from all the footage. But when finally playing it Game looks gorgeous. Online features may be terminated at any time.Game looks gorgeous.
